University of Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich said this week he is in the “talking stage” of adding more varsity sports.
What sports should they be?
U of L is moving to the Atlantic Coast Conference, which holds championships in two sports that the Cardinals currently lack on the varsity level: men’s lacrosse and wrestling. ACC teams also participate in a some other sports U of L could consider: men’s and women’s fencing and women’s gymnastics.
U of L also has club teams in rugby and ice hockey, but those aren’t on the ACC’s varsity roster, either.
There is no question which should be added. Please go vote for wrestling on the CJ poll on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/questions/10151278602196993/

I never get around to updating the front page since all the action happens on the forums, but when one of the best coaches this state has seen will be retiring, I’ll make an exception.
If you haven’t yet, please read Josh Claywell’s awesome article about Coach Canter and his 23 year run as Head Coach at LaRue. No matter if Canter was in your corner or not, you have to admire the legacy he has built from the ground up at LaRue.
There was an issue with Bryan Station at the last minute so the BGSG will be held all on one day at Lafayette HS on July 14th. Weigh-ins will be at the same time on Friday July 13th from 4:00-7:00.
Bantam-Schoolboy: Wrestling will start at 8:30am
Cadet-Senior: Wrestling will begin at 1:30 pm
We are still looking for Remote weigh-in sites as well.
I apologize for any confusion or problems but this was something out of our control.
