Congratulations to two time state champions: Mitch Ervin of Union County, Bryan Peace of Ryle, Mason Reid of Ryle, Matt Zarth of Henry Clay and Three Time State Champion and Most Outstanding Wrestler of this years state tournament, Harrison Courtney of Woodford County. These wrestlers have gone above and beyond to achieve greatness and their accomplishments have been recognized.

Matt Zarth hopes to become Lexington's first three time state champion in 2009 and Harrison Courtney hopes to be the first four time state champion since Isaac Knable in 2002!

Other wrestlers who joined ranks as state champions include Jarvis Elam, Corey Spencer, Shane Parks, Josh Johnson, Justin Davis, Dakoda Choate, Mark Jones, Matt Green, and Anthony Bailey. Spencer (Johnson Central) and Green (Lafayette) represent the first state champions from their respective schools in 16 years (1992). Both schools now have 2 state champions.
